Purity Cylinder Gases, by Presidential Policy Directive 21, is recognized as a supplier to critical infrastructure and as being an essential business, exempt from the Order of the Governor regarding closure of nonessential businesses. Purity supplies medical and industrial gases, welding equipment and supplies, and other safety and industrial equipment and supplies to businesses deemed as critical infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to energy/utility companies, transportation system manufacturing and repair, critical manufacturing, and several other industries and customers. We will remain open, however with minimal staff to continue to conduct business as needed. Please contact your local store for service.

Route Delivery Driver – Wyoming, MI, Lansing, MI & Kalamazoo, MI

We are currently looking for a Truck Driver at our Grand Rapids, MI Location and our Lansing, MI location. The Driver will deliver welding supplies and gases on a daily basis to a local customers (no long distance/over the road or overnights). The ideal Truck Driver must follow our core values: perform their work with Integrity, be customer focused, have a positive attitude, not be complacent and value relationships.

Major Functions

  • Make local deliveries of welding supplies and high pressure cylinders
  • Process billing paperwork accurately and neatly
  • Adhere to DOT rules and company guidelines
  • Help with trailer loading and unloading
  • Attend periodic compliance and safety trainings
  • Meet or exceed productivity goals
  • Accurately account for all cylinders leaving on truck and what is returned

Qualifications Needed

  • Able to work as a team player with your supervisor and fellow employees
  • Able to read and carry out written and oral instructions
  • Able to verify numbers, perform simple math, read and identify labels, etc.
  • Ability to move heavy objects (60 pounds or more)
  • High School or better diploma preferred
  • CDL class A preferred (Must be willing to obtain CDL class A with hazmat endorsement)
  • Ability to work outdoors in all climates and weather conditions

Plant Worker – Wyoming, MI

We are looking to hire a Plant Worker who will work 2 days/week in our Propane Plant, 2 days/week in our Acetelyne Plant and 1 day/week in our High Pressure Plant.

Major Functions:

  • Perform general plant operations.
  • Move cylinders with fork-lift, trucks, carts or manually.
  • Cylinder filling production, including propane, acetelyne, etc.

  • Able to read and verify things such as numbers and labels.

Regional Branch Manager – Northern Branches

We are looking to add a Northern Regional Branch Manager. This manager would cover our branch locations in Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon, Mount Pleasant, Cadillac, Traverse City, Gaylord & Saginaw. This position will be responsible for leading, managing, and holding accountable all branch employees to Purity’s Core Values and processes, established by Corporate Management. This position will act as a conduit for positive continuous improvement, communication and continuity between corporate and the branches.


  • Lead, manage and hold accountable branch managers in their region, including performing formal reviews, plan and lead bi-annual manager meetings, assist managers with staffing needs, train new branch managers as needed.
  • Promote Corporate Goals, including working with Corporate Operations groups for continuity of best practices among all locations.
  • Mentor branches on Traction meeting management.
  • Optimize branch metrics – including asset utilization and productivity.
  • Lead new store openings operations and staffing needs.


  • Communications – Able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions – Be comfortable speaking to employees and management regarding sometimes difficult situations.
  • Aptitude – able to work as a team player that promotes the Purity Core Values – Must take pride in the quality of their work – Able to spot inconsistencies in documents and procedures – Good decision-making – Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Products and industry software – Ability to be highly organized, accurate and prompt.

Cryogenic Scheduler

We are looking to add a Cryogenic Scheduler to our team! This position is responsible for scheduling cryogenic work, ordering the supplies required for that work, and for installing, servicing and maintaining cryogenic equipment and specialized application equipment installs at customer sites or at our own facilities.

Major Functions:

  • Responsible to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Quote and schedule service jobs.
  • Maintain and order supplies.
  • Perform field service work.
  • Coordinate work between multiple apartments.
  • Cover the Cryogenic Manager and Dispatcher functions when needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Able to understand and carryout oral and written instruction.
  • Able to read and verify things such as numbers and labels.
  • Able to work with as a team player with your supervisor and fellow employees.
  • Must take pride in their quality of work.
  • Able to move heavy objects (60 lbs or so).
  • Able to work on ladders and high lifts.
  • High school diploma or better preferred.
  • Prior Cryogenic experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs or data base programs for reporting is preferred.
