Accounts Payable Specialist – Grand Rapids, MI

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing vendor invoices in a timely and efficient manner, resolving accounts payable (AP) related problems, processing payment runs, and all other aspects of the AP process. This position also backs-up other office personnel and is a member of the Operator Workgroup for incoming phone calls as needed.

Major Functions:

  • Process and code vendor invoices and credits
  • Investigate and resolve issues with vendor invoices
  • Process paper check and electronic payment runs as needed
  • Answer incoming phone calls as part of Operator Workgroup
  • Backup other general office tasks

Qualifications Needed:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including ability to understand complex processes and implement solutions
  • Excellent computer skills, including quick and accurate typing and 10-key skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficient in the Computers Unlimited TIMS system preferred, but not required
  • General understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good phone skills
  • Ability to work well within teams and communicate well with coworkers and management
  • High School or better diploma required.

General Labor: Cylinder Filling Plant – Grand Rapids, MI

This position is responsible for filling high-pressure cylinders, loading and unloading trailers manually and with forklift trucks, and other general warehouse and production support.  This opening is due to internal promotion of employees within the organization.

Major Functions

  • Perform general plant operations
  • Move cylinders with forklift trucks, carts, and manually

Qualifications Needed

  • Able to understand and carry out oral and written instruction
  • Able to read and verify things such as numbers and labels
  • Ability to move heavy objects (60 lbs) and move cylinders around the plant
  • Able to work as a team player with your supervisor and fellow employees

IT Technician – Grand Rapids, MI

We are currently looking for a fulltime IT Technician that will actively participate in the Help Desk as well as install and maintain computer systems and networks.  A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, hardware, and a variety of software.

Major functions:

  • Reply to and resolve help desk requests and questions and then follow-up with users to ensure issues have been resolved.

  • Help troubleshoot issues with hardware, software, printers, & networks.
  • Help write, update, and implement documentation and training.
  • Assist with projects as assigned.

Qualifications needed:

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or relevant position.
  • Associates Degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A+ or basic Microsoft Certifications is a plus.
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus.
  • PowerApps experience is a plus.

Welding, Cutting, and Automation Equipment Service Technician – Grand Rapids, MI

This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining welding, cutting, and automation equipment. Service work primarily includes performing annual machine calibrations as needed, general maintenance on company owned equipment, diagnosing services problems with broken machines and making the repairs that are needed, ordering parts, and completing paperwork required to bill and provide repair estimates.  The majority of work is done in house at Purity’s location in Grand Rapids with some service needing to be performed at customer locations.  Travel to customers is very limited with little to no overnight travel needed.  This is a full time 40 hour per week position with opportunity for overtime hours as needed based on customer demand.

Major Functions:

  • Perform service work on customer and company owned equipment both in site and at customer locations.
  • Perform annual equipment calibrations as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on certain automation equipment.
  • Maintain the Company’s fleet of rental welding equipment.
  • Order Parts from vendors as needed to complete repairs.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for customer billing and repair estimates.
  • Attend trainings and service schools as needed.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Able to understand and carryout written and oral instruction.
  • Able to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, understand schematic drawings, and work with required industry computers/technology to diagnose problems and fix machinery.
  • Comfortable speaking to customers regarding needed service work.
  • Able to work at customer sites and drive the Company’s service vehicle.
  • Able to work well with other technicians, supervisors, company salespersons, and customers.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed based on customer demand.
  • High school degree required, with additional mechanical/electrical training and schooling preferred.
  • Prior electrical, mechanical, automation, and small engine repair experience preferred.

Regional Sales Manager – Northern Indiana & Southern Michigan

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for providing leadership to an assigned territory and outside sales reps. This position is also responsible for directing and implementing the corporate business plan and strategy within that territory in conjunction with the executive management team. The assigned region for this position is currently Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan. The home base/location for this position is flexible as long as it is at one of the branches we have within the Northern Indiana or Southern Michigan region.

Major Functions:

  • Provides leadership, management direction, accountability, motivation, training and ongoing development to the account managers
  • Deliver overall top line performance in line with established sales goals
  • Make sales calls with sales team periodically within the region
  • Actively participate in Regional sales meetings and roll out corporate initiatives to the field
  • Review and monitor on a regular basis each account manager’s performance and report to the corporate sales manager
  • Recommend markets and products to expand into
  • Conduct regular weekly traction meetings with your sales team

Qualifications Needed:

  • Must have sales and/or management experience in the welding, industrial gas, or industrial supply industries.
  • Able to work as a team player with corporate management and coworkers
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, especially in the development of action plans and to ensure accountability and follow through
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within the region with some possible overnight stays
  • Ability to analyze a business opportunity, and develop a successful sales strategy to acquire new business
  • Able to motivate and inspire others to do and be their best
  • Ability to effectively manage a wide array of personnel issues with assistance from Human Resource
  • Possess skills in working with Microsoft office and relevant industry standard software
