Local Route Driver – Both Pierceton, IN & Warsaw, IN

Local Route Driver – Both Pierceton, IN & Warsaw, IN

We are looking for a responsible Local Route Driver who has a passion for our customers and our products.  This position will start out at our Pierceton, Indiana location for approximately 6 months and then will be transferred to our Warsaw, Indiana location permanently. As a Route Delivery Driver, you are responsible for the handling heavy cylinders and inventory and face-to-face interactions with our customers. Class A CDL and Hazmat not required, but candidates must be willing to obtain with the help of the company.

This position will have a local delivery route and deliver industrial gas cylinders and industrial supplies. The local route will be daytime hours and get you home every night (no overnights).

This position includes a very competitive compensation package that includes a competitive hourly rate, and a quarterly bonus program.  Purity also offers a very competitive above market benefit package that includes health, dental, and vision insurances and a very generous 401(k) program with both a company matching amount and a year-end profit-sharing contribution.

Major Functions

  • Deliver industrial gas cylinders and welding supplies daily to customers.
  • Process billing paperwork in an accurate and neat manner.
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle.
  • Accurately account for all cylinders leaving and what is returned.
  • Attend periodic compliance and safety trainings.
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

Qualifications needed

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • CDL Class A with Hazmat Endorsement preferred. Willing to train the right candidate.
  • Ability to move heavy objects (60lbs or more).
  • Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Good driving record with no traffic violations
  • High school degree

Branch Manager – Gaylord

The Branch Manager will provide leadership to the Gaylord, MI branch location.  This position will be responsible for supporting inside and outside sales to meet customer needs, managing all staff at that location, manage inventory levels, and promoting a safe collaborative work environment.  This will be a hands-on management position where you will work directly with customers and employees to ensure all aspects of sales and operations are functioning well.

 

Major Functions:

  • Support the customer service representatives and outside sales force in servicing existing & prospective customers in a timely manner.
  • Manage the development of and effectively coach employees.
  • Hold weekly meetings to promote communication across departments and share goals and operational metrics.
  • Manage inventory levels.
  • Promote a safe work environment & compliance.
  • Perform periodic performance reviews with employees and coach employees with the support/guidance of Corporate HR.

 

Qualifications Needed:

  • A minimum of 3–5 years of managerial experience in an industrial setting is required.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Must be able to promote teamwork & motivate in a positive manner by leading meetings effectively & efficiently.
  • Must possess problem solving and decision-making ability.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products.

Cryogenic Service Manager – Grand Rapids, MI

Cryogenic Service Manager – Grand Rapids, MI

The Cryogenic Service Manager is responsible to lead, manage, and hold accountable the cryogenic department/team.  The position is also responsible for overseeing bulk equipment and piping installations, overseeing equipment and parts inventory and ordering, promoting a safe and collaborative work environment, and other operational and administrative work as needed to support the growth and development of the department and employees.  This is a fulltime position that includes a very competitive compensation package that incorporates a competitive salary and participation in the Company’s quarterly bonus program. Hours typically range somewhere between 7:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday.

  • Experience – High School or better diploma preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs or data base programs for reporting is preferred

Cryogenic Technician – Grand Rapids

Cryogenic Technician – Grand Rapids

This Employee is responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining cryogenic equipment and specialized application equipment installations at third parties and our own facilities. 3-5 years of experience in cryogenics or a similar field is required. This position also requires that the employee must be able to work independently, possess good communication skills, and is able to be managed remotely. This is a full-time hourly position with hours that typically range from 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday, which may vary based on workload and Company need.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform service work on PCG and third-party tanks & gas or liquid systems
  • Perform annual inspections and recommend needed upgrades
  • Maintain food equipment and specialized application equipment
  • Perform bulk & piping installations
  • Responsible for operating and the general condition of the service vehicle
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications Needed:

  • Communications – able to understand and carry out oral instructions – able to read and carry out written instructions – able to fill out work reports, time sheets and expense reports on a timely basis
  • Physical – capable of working at the customer’s site and in the office – able to drive vehicle to and from customers in unpredictable weather – able to lift and move heavy objects (pipe, pumps, etc., 60#’s or so) – able to frequently work on ladders, aerial lifts, lift items overhead and up from the ground. Also, frequently bending and squatting as well as working down on hands and knees (JSA-03)
  • Aptitude – able to work as a team player with your supervisor and fellow employees – must take pride in quality of their work – able to understand control systems and drawings – must follow through tasks and projects to completion without reminders.
  • Flexibility – must be available for occasional early/late installs, out-of-town overnight installs, and some after-hours emergency calls.
